Summary | 0008967: Urban Sniper Balloons seem excessively weak
Description | They do 1-2 damage on Hero difficulty and don't cause damage when the player runs into them, either. The other weaker enemies can at least beat out the health gain from killing them if you're careless. If you don't want a projectile of that speed to do more noticeable damage, maybe a debuff of some kind, so it's a threat when other enemies are nearby? Just seems like a wasted enemy right now.

This enemy has significant knockback and projectile speed, making for some dangerous situations in hazardous environments or when you're trying to take on other more directly lethal enemies. |
Oh, is the Ice Age passive anti-knockback negating the only dangerous element? Ah... sorry then. I wonder if there's some way to make that more apparent... or maybe the issue is that Ice Age characters seem to have an awful lot of upside relative to some of the others? In any case, different issues than this, it seems. |
Yeah, characters without much Anti-Knockback can easily be knocked off the screen by these guys. One idea to help balance Ice Age and other characters with higher anti-knockback would be to make Urban Snipers also apply a debuff which greatly decreases, or even eliminates, anti-knockback, thus making the Snipers a greater threat to everyone even with their pitiful damage. |
But that also devalues the benefit of actually picking a character from such a time period. Why go with anti-knockback if the things you'd want to resist are immune to your resistance essentially? |
Well let's go with "greatly decreases" (like halves) resistances. This would make the Sniper enemies knockback specialists. It would still be quite beneficial to have an anti-knockback character against all the other enemies, including the Snipers, they'd just be tougher for *everyone* to deal with. |
