Description | On the default citybuilding difficulty, mood gifts and profession gifts are the limiting factor in being able to bring down the overlord. I have everything else I need, but bringing the overlord down to level 6 would take hours of searching stashes for gifts. It takes a lot of gifts to get a survivor to have the right mood and ability to be able to take on the overlord. (For mood, I might be able to manipulate a survivor into feeling like an "victorious underdog", but that requires finding additional survivors and giving *them* gifts.) Attack overlord keep (with 0 living lieutenants) * 500 Difficulty * 800 Danger * Max success chance: 75% * Max survival chance: 60% With the max survival chance of 60%, the expected number of dispatches for a survivor is 2.5. With the max success rate of 75%, that's 1.875 overlord levels per survivor I bring to the top, on average. If the RNG hates me, the punishment is extreme: another hour of scouring stashes for gifts. | ||||

Thanks! * The maximum survival percentage for attacking the overlord has now improved from 60% to 85%. For ice pirates, the rate has gone from 80% to 95%. ** This makes the need for mood gift items a lot lower, and also makes it so that it doesn't feel like you're sending NPCs to their death on a whim unless you're simply not getting them happy enough. |
