Description | 1) Small Urban Mechs' awareness range is greater than their attack range. So even when a SUM has spotted you and starts approaching, it won't start attacking until it gets rather close - almost point-blank if you have a Stealth Enchant equipped. 2) When you equip a Stealth Enchant, you can see that SUMs have three different awareness lines - one longer one, and two shorter ones. It may be that the longer one is the unit's awareness, and the two shorter ones are its weapons - but this is a little confusing, and AFAIK no other enemy does this. 3) See attached photo: Even when all three sight lines are red, the SUM doesn't fire at me. Note that I'm using a 70% Stealth enchant, and without it the SUM would probably be firing on me at that range. However, the red lines are supposed to mean that the enemy is trying to attack me, right? Even after I inflicted damage on it, the SUM wouldn't fire back. 4) SUMs provide about three times as many consciousness shards as a usual enemy (around 70 versus most enemies' 26), which considering how fairly easy they currently are (mostly due to their nearsightedness), I don't think they deserve. | ||||

Thanks! * Fixed an issue with both small and large urban mech guns where they would see you before they could shoot at you. ** Note that the entire mech can still see you before its individual guns can shoot at you, and this is by design, but the individual guns can't move and so having them see you before they can shoot you was misleading and pointless. |
