Summary | 0000877: Galaxy map enhancement
Description | It would be nice if there was a way to filter for discovered objectives like ars, data centers, coprocessers, etc on the galaxy map to make planning easier. Using the mag glass tool is a possibility.

Just checking, but are you aware that the Objectives tab of the stats screen lists all those, and you can click-to-go-to from there? Also, are you saying that the find feature works for that, or that it would if it covered hostile ships? (honestly I've never tried that) Anyway, yea, it would be really nice to have it display the number of data centers next to each planet with at least one, etc. |
The objectives tab is great and I have clicked on idividual items and been taken to that system. The find feature does not have specific hostiles other than Hybrids at this time iirc. I think adding dicovered capturables to the finder might be the simplest but I tend to get tunnel vision with my recomendations. My desire would be to have a more global view. A way to see where all the discovered (insert goodie type here)are on the galaxy map at one time. Like knowing where my scouts are by hiting "o" It would be nice to see all the dicovered uncapped ARS by hitting a key (),see the locations of all the coprocessors by hitting the ()key, the surviving data centers, etc while in galaxy mode. |
There aren't keys enough for that ;) But display modes could be added. The find feature isn't the thing that shows hybrid hives (or hybrid facilities), that's the galaxy display thing. Find is the one where you pick a ship category and then type within that category, and it displays numbers on the map and you can actually give a move order to all those ships (the only way to give a move order to ships on different planets at the same time). |
Yea that move order has caught me a few times and been a godsend other times. Like I said I sometimes get tunnel vision on solutions. a galaxy display filter for capturables would be cool. anyway post 4.0 |

Something like 0001957 solution, ie. one button to show all the captuables at the same time TY |
