Summary | 0008766: unable to find 'personality' structures as secret mission rewards? | ||||
Description | After scouring the countryside on a new continent for about four hours today and yesterday, using v1.108 and v1.109; searching for secret missions, I rescued 3 survivors, found 2 wind shelters, 4 ocean buoys, and assorted 14 'basic' structures, but no 'personality' structures. Thus, my sample size for secret missions is really only of size 13, so take the following with a grain of salt: I would have thought in all of that wandering that I would have run across at least one 'personality' structure. I am wondering if there are 'unintended consequences' due to the changes to the 'basic' structures; as one cannot build the 'basic' structures inside the town anymore. From a previous patch (referenced below) the game was made to prioritize the 'basic' structures before allowing the 'personality' structures to show up as mission rewards. Alternately, it could just be bad RNG on my part if the 'personality' structures are meant to be rare. From previous patch notes (Beta 1.007 @ http://arcengames.com/mediawiki/index.php?title=AVWW_-_Post-Launch_Series_1_Release_Notes): Newly-generated missions that reward guardian powers: First power reward previous had a 100% chance of trying to be a city-building power, and would randomly pick from all eligible-to-seed building types. Now it has a 50% to try to be a city-building power, and it always tries to get a "basic" (non-personality) building first. If it tries and cannot get a basic building type it has a 20% chance at that point to try for a personality buiding (so 10% chance overall for that). If it doesn't pick a building power for the first slot, it picks the same way as the second power reward would (has a 50% chance of picking a strategic power and a 50% chance of picking a buff power). | ||||
