| Description | Inspired by the crate jumping topic. The grav crate is an uncommon loot item found in stash rooms in rather small quantities (2-4?). It's a crate that floats in place, even underwater. Possibly more durable than normal crates due to rarity? A simple idea that adds a filler item to stash rooms, basically. | ||||

I like the sound of this, though my main issue is that for the vast majority of cases it may as well be a platform. To differentiate it out a bit, what if as soon as a creature was on it the crate begins to slowly drift downwards (and then would drift back up once the "weight" was removed)? That way, it retains the "floating platform" use, but gains a secondary use as a way to ride downwards without risking landing on something unseen at the bottom; the extra utility means it would be a bit more worthwhile a pickup rather than them becoming slightly-improved-platforms. |

Don't forget it also has the downside of being destructible by foreground entities, and you can't jump through crates. But good suggestions nonetheless. |

I like this idea as well. There'd be situations where this'd be very useful; in surface areas, where you cant place platforms, and in the water, where platforms/crates float, that would indeed be very useful. Benmiff's suggestion of it slowly going down when weight is applied is also a good one. |
