Check you're "large project" auto-assist cutoff in the controls window. It's default value is set low enough such that many mercenary ships don't get auto-repaired (currently, the cutoff is not correctly adjusting for the fact the repairing ships is cheaper than constructing them. That is on mantis somewhere...) In any case, a different issue than the one about AI engineers. The AI does not use the auto-assist cutoff. |

Why is this marked as a duplicate? Is there another mantis ticket regarding the mercenary costs and the default large project cutoff somewhere? |
