Summary | 0008547: 200 million enemy ships Post (Counter II & III) | ||||
Description | About half way through my 100 planet game against 2 AI level 5 (Grav Driller & Neinzul Viral Enthusiast) I attacked two different planets. After destroying the structures on both planets that spawn the counter attacks, I noticed the unusually large numbers totaling about 200 million. (see attached screenshot) When it came time for the 134 million to arrive, the game (after pausing for a few minutes) crashed. When I reloaded my save and tried again, this time it didn't spawn such large numbers. I believe they were around 1,000 ships this time. That seemed more normal. I figured I would at least alert you to this in case you wanted to put in some kind of check to make sure it doesn't occur for anyone else either. Specs... 200 Million!? O_o If you didn't already, could you turn on Advanced logging (which will log how the AI calculates wave sizes for each wave). You can find it under the Advanced tab in the options. If you can duplicate it with that on, post the AIThreadWaveComputation.log and the MainThreadWaveComputation.log files here (not sure if these are the exact file names, but they should be similar to that) If you already had it on when you hit this, just post the log files. |

I did not have logging enabled when it occurred and I attempted to duplicate the issue multiple times but the bug appears to be shy. We could just chalk this one up to being a fluke and if it happens again I can open a new issue. |
