Summary0008444: When attacked unit teleports away another target should be chosen
DescriptionThere is problem with auto-targeting teleporting units: you have ships ball protecting your military command center. When command center shoots first enemy and teleports it on the other side of system all ships start chasing it so military command center isn't only dispersing enemies - it's also dispersing your units.

IMO when unit teleports away (or is teleported) it attackers should find new target.

I can think of three cases where you wouldn't want them to find a new target:
1. If I gave them an explicit order to attack and kill that exact ship
2. If the destination of the teleported unit is still within range of a unit that is firing on it (if that is too expensive to always track, then units with infinite range shouldn't change targets merely because their current target teleported)
3. If the unit that is firing upon it is also a teleporter (though I can see why this may not be desirable, you may want to keep your fleet near each other including the teleporters in some situations)

In all other cases, yea, this seems like a good idea
