Summary | 0008100: Shield dies before mana runs out.
Description | I'm using a Time of Magic character with 3 upgrades of mana, giving me a max mana value of 560. When I activate my fire shield, and start running around and casting spells and using up all my mana quickly, the shield turns itself off once my mana hits 200 or so. I know it's not the 12 second timer, because I can manage to get down to 200 within 3 or 4 seconds and it always cuts out there.

Are you using any cooldown-enchancing effects or similar? If you can upload the world that would be helpful for us to duplicate. |
Yeah I am using a whole mess of enhances, i'll just upload it. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/69626269/Party%20Town%20Deluxe%20-%20Mana%20Shield.zip |

I just notice this happen with another character. This time it was 'Storm Dash' that died before my mana actually hit 0. I was storm dashing across the ocean floor, and also placing balls of light at the same time. The spell ended when I still had about 33% left. Do you suppose that constant drain spells are checking the base mana instead of the upgraded mana somehow...? |
There's definetly a problem here. Chris, as a repro, load this world, turn on the shield, then cast nightfall. The shield will turn off right away, while leaving 170-180 mana available. |
My shield and storm-dash turn off when my mana is around 30%. If I remove my Mana Upgrade enchant, this stops happening. So I bet some code is checking base mana when it should be checking upgraded mana. |
That would be consistent with what I was seeing. |

For 1.045: * Fixed a bug where ongoing conditions that consume mana (shields, storm dash) were not properly factoring in the presence of mana-increasing enchants and thus cutting off earlier than they should have (because during the mana consumption step it really did look like mana was zero; the mana-increasing-enchants had not yet been fully re-applied). Thanks :) |
