Summary | 0000809: Wave-multipliers too large?
Description | Not sure this is a bug or an intended feature, since it wasn't as documented in the SlimDX version as it is now, but it seems as if the warp multipliers (i.e. the "2x AI waves while humans hold") is cumulative now instead of additive in the old days. An example: Currently playing a 8-home-planet game, and popped down eight Zenith reactors. The AI will now send 256x waves there (i.e. 2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2); it feels as if it only used to send 16x waves to those locations (i.e. 2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2). As I said, it wasn't as documented back then, so this might be how it has always worked...

The multiplicative impact is quite intended :) Basically you really want to avoid stacking multipliers. |
|
It will cap out the number of units after the same threshold, but it shows you the full multiplier so that you know just how far over the norm you are, etc. |
