Summary0008076: Shield cooldown starts when you turn if off, not when you turn it on.
DescriptionRight now, the amount of damage a shield blocks is pretty much meaningless, as you can instantly activate it again as soon as it goes down, completely refilling the shield. How about if the shield spell actually had a decent length cooldown, and it started when the shield was turned off?

I think the problem with the spell is the shield being at full strength whenever you cast it, not that you can cast it a lot. Being able to bring a shield up frequently and at will is in line with the purpose of a shield and promotes good, reactive play.

Its more the problem that as you have no cooldown, you can instantly cast the shield on off, you have no incentive to keep it on, so it basically becomes a block skill, as nearly no damage goes competly through the spell this means you can have an endless shield. I believe the shield should be for more saving situations rather than blocking every single shot from an enemy.
