Description | I brought this up as part of 0007863, but it could really do with it's own suggestion. I'd like to see some different jump improvement enchants and / or spells. (For spells, they'd need some way to determine which you get - last cast, maybe?) The three jumps I can think of are:- Flutter Jump: On pressing jump while in midair, you slowly accelerate upwards for as long as jump is held or until the flutter jump duration runs out. This would slow falls, and while it doesn't provide a lot of vertical height, it does allow a much longer horizontal jump (though not as far as Glide.) Wall Jump: On pressing jump while against a vertical wall, you leap off it at a 45 degree upward angle. Useful for moving upwards, espescially in vertical tunnels (like you find in buildings) since there's no limit on the number of wall jumps you can make, but needs a wall to jump off of. Glide: On holding jump, severely lowers falling velocity for as long as jump is held. As such, you can "glide"; however, you'll still descend constantly, so far away glides will need a lower landing site. | ||||

I like these. A couple more: Bounce: If you hold jump while landing, you jump a bit higher than the distance from which you fell, up to some maximum limit. You can eventually reach heights even higher than Triple Jump, but it takes several bounces to do so. Cling: While touching a wall or ceiling, press jump to grab on to it. You can't move while clinging (perhaps you can move slowly while clinging to a ceiling), but you remain there until you press jump a second time to release. Not so useful for getting from point A to point B, but it could give you an advantageous position for fighting some enemies. |

Cling sounds more like a arm slot, but still good. It's also the only one I'd consider being okay to combine with the other jumps, so that. Bounce: I'd want to require some horizontal movement between each "bounce" (and for that movement to continue in one direction, so you can't just bounce back and forth) so you need some open space in which to perform the move. |
