Summary | 0007854: Allow to send ships through other systems' wormholes via system view
Description | Along the theme of better capturing intent/not needing to manage units by giving multiple orders with a wait inbetween. I can do the following: 1) Select a bunch of scouts 2) Switch to galaxy view 3) Send scouts to a planet I play with the system network hidden, so I don't have the target system show up on the galaxy view until I've explored it. What I'd like to be able to do is send scouts to the system directly. Currently I have to 1) Select a bunch of scouts 2) Switch to galaxy view 3) Send the scouts to an already-scouted planet (with an unscouted wormhole) 4) Wait for the scouts to arrive 5) Pause the game so the scouts don't get nuked while I select them (I'm probably in an enemy system at this point) 6) Send the scouts through. 7) Unpause Either of these would work for me (and others here might have ideas of course). 1) If the system network is disabled, reveal the systems next to scouted planets, but don't give any intel (from galaxy or system map). Maybe show the systems as grey circles (similar to "cloaked ships") on the galaxy map. Allows the way scouts are given orders to stay the same, but requires changes to the galaxy and system maps. 2) Let me send units through the wormhole of any system, without requiring the units to be in the same system as the wormhole when the order is given. I notice the unit selection is retained if I switch into another system and back, so that part is already there.
