Summary | 0007784: Small Urban Mech have no drops in buildings
Description | I tried this in a new world, Abandoned Town. I surface chunks all was fine but inside buildings, the small urban mechs would not drop anything upon death - no shards and no health drops either. This was consistent in every building and yes, this was outside of any mission, just in the regular buildings.

Was this MP or solo? This may have been fixed by other changes we've made in 1.019 -- if you still see it in the new version when that comes out, please do let us know. |
|
This was in Solo. Today I tried again in a new world and a fresh install (different computer) and had similar issues in 1.022. Sometimes the mechs would drop neither health orbs nor shards (maybe 60% of the cases), other times the drops would be present. I haven't tried killing them from different sides though,m maybe their legs are problematic? |
|
I encountered this as well, I defeated a mech inside a building by shooting it's side. It didn't drop anything, and I didn't see anything in the corner of the minimap either. I defeated another one in similar conditions in the next room and it DID drop items. So it doesn't seem to happen every time. |
|
Please let me know if you still see this in 1.031. Thanks! |

I just tried it with 1.033. It still happens, also in outside chunks. I found one way to repduce it: Only attack the mech from the right side (I used a non-piercing spell, Ball Lightning). If it dies, it shows the small explosion but no drops, neither shards nor health. I attached a world with an almost dead mech next to me. |

For 1.050: * Fixed a bug where damaging a sub-part of a multi-part monster (like an urban mech) would not cause the "core" entity to think it had been damaged by a player. And entities that die without being damaged by a player do not drop health or shards. Now the setting and reading of the "has been damaged by a player" flag always happens on the parent entity, regardless of which particular piece is being worked with. Thanks :) |
