Summary | 0000777: Lobby ignoring settings
Description | I created a new game in 3.800 to play around with it, and I noticed that the lobby lost all of the settings that I had previously entered. To be precise, all the settings that I had selected for a previous game were still selected, but upon entering the game, they were not in effect. These settings included no AI progress, schizophrenic waves, no wave warnings and cross planet waves. There may be other settings as well, but I specifically noticed that all of them were selected in the lobby but not active in game.

Do you have steps that can reproduce this? We've been chasing this one, and I have yet to find it. I intend to fix it tonight if I can, but no luck yet. |
|
I'm not sure exactly what steps are necessary to reproduce it. I'd created a new game a couple versions ago, and started this game with (what I thought were) the same settings. I can send you my settings file if that would help. I can't think of anything else I've done that would be considered unusual; I really haven't had much time to play lately so I haven't been able to play the new versions extensively. I'm happy to help though, if there's something I can send you or test on my end. |

Actually, nevermind -- I can duplicate it now, thanks! |

* Fixed a bug with the lobby that could cause it to have its visual state differing from the actual underlying selected options on the second run of the lobby on a game start. ** This also led to things such as AI Modifiers that were visually "already selected" not taking effect for real until they were clicked again. Fixed. ** This fix also causes the lobby to remember its existing state when players click out of it and back in. |
