This would raise too many balance issues. Currently there are 3 stats you can upgrade. HP, Damage, and Mana. This would allow you to get a double upgrade on Damage and Mana overbalancing the system. After all the faster your mana charges up, the less likely you're going to take a lot of damage from this enchantment. Anyways, there's strong pressure to remove mana from the game anyways. If such a thing did happen this enchant would become irrelevant. |

Huh? Strong pressure to remove mana? I haven't seen strong pressure, only suggestions from one or two people (who wrote several paragraphs about it). This enchant seems like a neat idea. I don't understand what you mean by a "double upgrade". This enchant would give you a bonus to damage, yes, and it would encourage the player to use mana regeneration enchants & mana upgrades. However, the big feature is that it drains your health. So, you might have to spend a few more points in health than you normally would, do ensure you will have the HP to cast a decent number of spells. It seems like an interesting idea anyway, I'd have to play around with it in game to see how I enjoy it. It sounds like the type of thing that I would use religiously until I accidentally killed myself from it while storm dashing in town, and then never use again. |
