I think this is intended. It's not that the cold tolerant characters are just especially hardier than anyone else. It is stated in the description of the snowsuit that "Ice age characters wear custom snowsuits". So, in essence, putting on a heatsuit involves them taking off their snowsuit. Thus, they take cold damage. It took me a bit to figure that out myself, though! |
