Summary | 0007690: Request - Further Anti-Griefer Commands
Description | Yes, we all know for a sad fact that we can't eliminate this issue. However, I think a permission to place objects in settlement areas is needed (boxes, platforms, ball of light, shrunk items), sure it could be decorative, but it's also yet another area of abuse. New people were logging in, and logging out after, (pretty normal, our high continent count usually scares ppl, for who knows why), but this time there were a bit of swearing in between. I logged in and to my horror, a LARGE portion of the settlement was filled with boxes/platforms/ball of lights. This discouraged new players (the clutter even prevented them from reaching the spell bench without wasting a lot of time) and had gone unseen to the regulars due to them just not being in the same continent. It took a while to clean up as well.. I am requesting a cmd:default_place_settlement_objects or something. Thanks. * UPDATE - Not working in 1.016

I agree. You don't even need platforms & crates in settlements, though, so they could safely be disabled. |
For 1.016: * Added new admin commands: ** grant_player_deploy_item_in_settlement_permission ** revoke_player_deploy_item_in_settlement_permission ** set_default_player_deploy_item_in_settlement_permission ** This are like the other grant|revoke|set_default trios, and this one simply controls whether or not a player can deploy items (platforms, crates, moon lamps, bear traps, grow gems, etc) in a settlement chunk. Thanks :) |
The permission flags are set and working in 1.016 (default off, and when invoking revoke on an acc it notifies that permission is already revoked), but it doesn't do anything (at least on my server). This is what I tried (after permissions turned off: - Log into settlement, can still place - Exit & Re-enter settlement, can still place - Create new character, can still place. |
For 1.023: * Fixed bug with the "deploy_item_in_settlement"-permission-related admin commands where they weren't working in multiplayer. Which is kind of where they need to work. Thanks :) |
