Description | Hazard Alertness: This would be a Torso slot enchantment (since it deals predominantly with lighting), that would give a "glow" surrounding all enemies and allies. Enemies and enemy projectiles would get a red glow, allies and ally projectiles a green glow; if this shifts it'd be picked out more as well, with enemies shifting between red and orange, and allies between green and turquoise. This glow would also provide light, with better enchants providing more light, allowing enemies to be visible in the dark. This would essentially serve to make enemies more noticeable, espescially in places where they tend to blend into the background already due to similar colouring; the most noticeable place for this to be useful would be The Deep, but other situations (such as Lava Flats and Fire Bats) would also come in helpful. | ||||

How would this interact with the lighting system? Would it let you see enemies in the dark? |

Seeing enemies in the dark might be a good way to make the enchant scaleable, since then it can throw off more light at higher levels; it adds another use as well, making it useful to keep on rather than only switching on in certain circumstances. Editing it in to main post now. |

Gotta be careful of making head enchants useful in combat. Currently the only head enchants that exist are meta-enchants, that effect other gameplay mechanics. |

As khadgar notes, head enchants would never be useful for anything other than the meta-effects of altering rewards, etc. |

I think this would work well as a torso enchant. Could be interesting to need to use light spells only to see platforms and such. |

This would only really be useful in really dark caves or The Deeps, IMO. |
