Description | Entered a Journey to Perfection (Outdoors) mission from a Surface Secret Mission site, pirate airships commenced bombardment, making mission excessively difficult to complete (I gave up and moved on to something else). A shield can be used to block the shots, but they land so quickly that reaction time isn't sufficient to respond *snicker* perfectly every time; especially with the player's attention diverted to trying to move forward and keep monsters away. Perhaps this is intended functionality, but since the player has no control over whether pirate ships are present or not; it just seems slightly too difficult with no recourse for the player. Suggest that pirate ships be unable to fire into Journey to Perfection (Outdoors) missions. | ||||

I've successfully beaten 3 JtP missions under those conditions with a tier 1 fire shield and 100 mana. The only apparent way of beating these missions, at this moment, is to use high speed enchants and spam the shield. |

Since shields are now disabled in JtP this issue is still present. This makes outdoor missions really random if a ship is present. My suggestion therefore is also to disable pirate ships (or their shots) in outdoor JtP missions to keep their difficulty in line with the indoor variants. |

They're annoying indeed, but adds some sort of challenge to it. Ice Espers on the other hand, which got way too good aim are really annoying, especially when they're guarding the entrance and you can't use shields :p |

As the world map missions (ones which grants CPs), I concluded, "If ice pirates are near, don't do that. It's only a matter of choice." But as secret missions, which one would find with effort (or just running through dungeons with Storm Dash), this idea would fit in. Who wants to be doing hard-earned missions under such circumstances, or just throwing opportunities away? At least I don't. |

JtPs are near impossible now with ice pirate ships now that shields are gone. |
