| Description | The AdminPassword set in settings.dat is not being recognized when connecting to a server hosted on the same pc. ie I can connect to my own server and the "cmd:claim_admin_rights" will return "password not set" error in chat log. This makes server commands such as the new "set_worldwide_enchant_progress_sharing" useless. Both "claim_admin_rights" and "set_worldwide_enchant_progress_sharing" seem to work as intended if used in singleplayer. | ||||

The singleplayer process uses settings.dat The server process uses serversettings.dat They used to just use the first file, but that led to some really, really, _nasty_ race conditions ;) If you set the password in serversettings.dat does it work? I'll go check the wiki article on MP to make sure it's noting this point. Thanks :) |

Yeah, looks like that works. I overlooked the other files in the folder, definitely a user error. Updating the wiki would help correct anymore confusion. Thanks for the help. :) |
