Summary | 0007136: Clipping through already-placed platforms
Description | I had some level platforms underground that I could not jump onto. My character would fall through them. They happened to be spawned on top of a building, but I'm not sure if that's why I couldn't stand on them. Spawning my own platforms on the building worked as usual. Screenshot attached.

Do you have a world file for this? I think it's a matter of the platforms actually not existing thanks to the building carving them out, and then the graphics just not updating properly. |
Sure. I should have saved and copied it when I encountered it, but I didn't. Does it matter if my character isn't currently located at the building? |
As long as you can tell me how to get there, no problem. |
I'll have to mess with it a bit to get back to it. I've played some since. I'll post the world file here once I find it again. |
I finally found the house again, and the four overlapping steps are not there. I may have run into it last night while playing on .929. Looking at the file date, that must be it. I could have sworn that was today after I upgraded. I've embarrassed myself again. (~_~メ) |

Not at all, I'm not surprised that didn't persist. I'd still like the world file, because I can probably make it regenerate it. That sort of thing would not persist past the initial generation of the chunk, so you probably remembered exactly right. Sorry, I should have mentioned that before. ;) |

Alright, there you go! |
Thanks! * Previously it was possible to get background ladder tiles that looked like they were solid but actually were not really there. Oops! This pretty only happened near buildings underground, so it wasn't terribly common, but it was pretty darn confusing when it did. ** On a second load of the same chunk where this issue was, the issue would fix itself, too, so that made it even less of something folks would notice. So, implicitly, old worlds are "fixed" by virtue of this not persisting in the first place. But now it won't happen on first load of a chunk anymore, either. |
