| Description | I just joined an MP game and changed my name from default. When I came back to my SP game, it didn't recognize me and asked me if I was 'default'. I don't want to play as default anymore... I feel I should have been asked this early on. Also, the name shouldn't be under network settings if it applies to SP as well. | ||||

I think you should be asked this immediately, since it also affects your single player worlds. If you create a single player world, then decide to use it when hosting a multiplayer game, you might (embarrasingly) be stuck with 'default' for the duration of your adventure. Some kind of 'pick your profile'/'change your profile' screen (similar to character selection in Terraria) would be awesome. |

Can we maybe get a way to change the name for existing worlds? |

Between 0.930 and 0.931 this is now taken care of. Can't get in through start new game, load game, or connecting to a multiplayer game without having to enter a profile name (it prepopulates with the last one you used). Thanks, I'd thought this was a good idea a long time ago but held off because I don't want to get into the habit of asking the player questions before they even start playing, but this was a really good point :) |
