This just happened to me, except it was impossible. There were 4 full screens of acid on top of the poor guy. As fast as I went, we didn't make it even half way to the surface of the acid. |

Yeah, the only way I am actually able to beat these is by healing the survivor with the healing-touch spell. Without that spell I've failed acid rescue every time :( |

I've also reported this, but I didn't even get to the survivor since I fell in the water and died :( |

With healing touch, the flooded rescue is actually kind of fun. Perhaps you could make it a separate mission type (with a strong suggestion to find and bring Acid Gills and Healing Touch)? Getting halfway down a cavern to suddenly run into acid when you're not prepared is bad, but the challenge of getting out when you ARE prepared is enjoyable. |

I had this happen too and almost past it, but I had little open areas I was able to hoard her into and use healing touch. I failed sadly though because of a sea worm that got to close :( I do agree though that these are extremely hard, and sadly it not justifiable enough to take the risk on them because you can find easier ones to rescue. I wouldn't mind seeing this stay, but it needs some extra rewards of some sort to make it more worth while. |

I think I found out why this is happening. Every time I've seen a flooded room underground, the highest point of water is always a small pool with a tiny diagonal crack in the bottom (see jpg). Everything below the crack ends up flooded. I like the bug for the occasional variety it brings to underground areas, but I imagine someone without acid gills wouldn't be very pleased. When it happens with lava, though, it's just plain brutal. Rescue missions, being so tall and dotted with ponds, seem especially prone to being flooded. |

Thanks! * Fixed a terrain generation bug that was causing glitchy-looking angled grounds with no backs to sometimes be seeded in outdoors and underground issues. Not only did this look wrong, it had the side effect of causing floods of water to be possible. ** This is what was leading, indirectly, to flooded Rescue-NPC cavern missions. |
