Summary0000672: Mine regn is to low
DescriptionCurrently it would take about half an hour for minefiled to regen from 0 to full hp. It would be much faster to actually rebuild them if not for annoying micro needed for that.

Also mines effectiveness maybe a bit to low now - all ships have much more health when you change caps and it seems that mines are unaffected by level of caps.

That was the goal. Engineers can also repair them, but the regen makes it so that you don't need an engineer for minor dings And scratches.

Small correction:
Mines are immune to repair.

As is nearly everything else that has a regen rate (excepting vampire claws and engineers).

not a complaint about the current regen speed -- my mines are ready for new guests in record time ;) more a note that actual regen does not seem to match quoted speed. (could affect other regen units)

Actual regen seems much faster than quoted in tool tip.
Mk1 minefield health 280k regen 160/sec
normal ship cap, normal speed, sim at +/- 0 speed adjustment std engineers locked down out of the way
Rebuilder to 140k then mine regens to full health (+140k) in about 25 sec of game time
140k/25 sec = over 5600 per sec vrs 160 quoted, about 30x faster

After rebuilder isn't it build not regen?

I think orzelek is right here. It'd be in build mode after being rebuilt

Ah -- that's correct indeed. Thanks, marking this as complete again. ;)
