Summary | 0006479: Cursor lock on dual monitor display
Description | I've had this same issue with Terraria and several other games. When I'm full screen in-game and my cursor reaches the edge of the screen, it crosses over to my other monitor. This isn't a bad thing, but in the heat of the moment, when I'm frantically trying to kill something (such as a boss) while avoid baddies, I tend to lose track of the cursor and click on my other monitor. Doing this causes the game to minimize and thus strands me, motionless while I scramble to bring the window back up. My suggestions are either a cursor lock on the game window or make the game seamlessly window full screen so it doesn't minimize when losing focus.

I would love to do either, and in the past when we coded our own engine from scratch that's what we did. But unfortunately, the unity 3d engine that we use now has no capacity for this sort of thing. Despite being an otherwise awesome improvement, window handling was a major step back for us with that engine change two years ago. We bug them about it periodically, but no response thus far... |

Happens to me a lot too, probably 10+ times in the last 20 hours of gameplay. I haven't died because of it, but I can see it happening especially in a boss fight. As a workaround, is it possible to add an option to "Pause world when game loses focus"? Currently the only way to prevent this is to disable the 2nd monitor while playing the game -- really not an option with the way windows shuffles desktop icons around. |

There are outstanding issues with the Unity issue that makes this impossible. However, a workaround was created using AutoHotkey. Check out the forums for the details. http://www.arcengames.com/forums/index.php/topic,10382.0.html |

Thanks. Working great so far. I removed the timer from his script and made it work for right click as well. Even works with my existing Ctrl+LClick and Ctrl+RClick macros without modifications. |
