| Description | After struggling my way through an Ocean Shallows region (really looking forward to the 0.580 swimming changes!) to find a secret mission entrance, the entrance reports "No Mission Available." without any further explanation. As I have no clue why no mission is available, I'm not really sure how to categorize this issue further. | ||||

Apparently it's actually an Ocean region, not an Ocean Shallows region, based on the discussion in 0006057 which I reported from the same region. |

Secret missions will appear randomly at secret mission enterances, although no mission will spawn if there has been another mission from that area in the last couple game days. This could be communicated to the player a bit better though. |

I'm reasonably sure there wasn't a mission in that region before; it was the first time I had been into any ocean tile in this world, and I don't recall seeing any world map missions on any ocean tile at any point (although I could be wrong about that). |

So I guess it means that a secret mission just didn't spawn there at this point in time. It might appear there later on after a couple game days. |

I guess that's plausible; it's the first time that I've encountered a secret mission entrance that didn't have a mission available, though. It would definitely help if the message was a bit more verbose in that regard. If there's no mission available at a particular entrance, does that always mean no missions will be available anywhere in that entire region? |

I'm not sure, I think that the secret missions are per chunk except for the couple game-days since last mission timer which is per region. |

The couple of days since the last mission timer thing is also per-chunk, or should be. But I'm not sure that any missions are able to spawn in the oceans at present. |

I had this same thing happen just now in 1.009 in a desert. I made a brand new world this patch and this was the first secret mission I had found. No mission has been in this region ever since I started. Attaching save. |

Reached a second secret mission entrance a couple buildings to the right of the one I was in in my attached save, ALSO "No Mission Available". |

I'm also seeing this in the latest version, both on the ocean surface secret mission and in ocean caverns. |
