Summary0006046: Show current control setup (rather than default) on main menu
DescriptionAs someone who remapped the controls the very first time I played, it's always struck me as slightly placeholder that the main menu lists the default controls rather than what they're currently set to; since in my case the information serves no purpose.

Seems like an obvious change whenever there happens to be time for it, so I logged it in Mantis as a reminder.

I think it's a good idea to do this before 1.0, but I see no need to before Beta Series 3.

* The "default controls" label on the main menu now says "current controls" instead, and now shows the actual current controls the game is set for.
** As part of getting this to make sense, we had to reset some of the internal keybindings. If your controls were customized prior to this version and now have reset, then simply reset them and that's all there is to it.
** Also, the default keybindings for the enchants and usables inventories have been switched. That way the order of importance goes from left to right, which makes a lot more sense. Feel free to rebind to what you're used to, obviously.



I actually felt like this was more important, and in keeping with some of the other prompt changes put in there in the next version.

Well, I wasn't sure it was necessary for new users, as I figured that anyone this would apply to would be savvy enough to figure out what they had just mapped stuff to, thus not really applying to new users necessarily, but, no biggie.

So, enchants are called up with 'x' now on default? Working on the Guide and want to get that right.

Yes -- and regular inventory is Z and I.

Part of the reason I felt like this was important is that it's not just new players -- it's also returning players and press. If they have changed their controls in a prior version of the game, and are coming back to it months later, I don't want them to be frustrated. New and returning-after-long absence players are equally important in my current weighting of improving clarity.

Fair enough.

I think the only reference I had in the guide so far to inventory was 'I', so I don't think I need to change anything there. But the enchants reference absolutely needs to be changed now. :)

Sounds good -- and yes, I still works. I put that one in there because I feel like it's something that people will intuitively go for, heh.
