* Warp Stones have been replaced by Warp Portals. ** The portals are functionally identical to warp stones, but they have different graphics and a different name. ** The portals are a lot smaller than the warp stones, letting them fit in vastly more confined spaces. They are also something that makes sense visually to float anywhere -- so they aren't limited by the amount of ground space available to them. This lets them, for instance, float in a stairwell that would have no room for a warp stone. ** Thematically these work more interestingly, too, as instead of being man-made constructs they are cracks in spacetime that you can exploit to get around in a region -- that makes a lot more sense and is more fitting with the general lore of the game. |
