Description | I've been playing around in a legit game with several golems so far and feel happy with the relatively recent balance changes, especially with the adjusted repair costs. Two of these were a cursed golem and an armoured golem; the other, however, was a hive golem. With the other two I could use to kite and repair back and forth until the objective planet was cleared, but the hive golem required significantly more time before it was ready to use because of the spawn time required for producing a wasp: one per two seconds with a maximum load of 500. Thus it would take 16.7 minutes to fill it entirely, too slow to match the effectiveness of my other golems. I'd propose a decrease in the BP to 1 for one wasp created for every one second, or 33% faster than the current value. The wasps themselves _might_ need to be nerfed slightly, but I feel it's better that over the current accumulation rate. Do consider that other golems have significantly greater firepower and range over the hive golem--they have 100k damage + raw 280k damage wasps with 150k HP while others are more consistent and generally have higher DPS (i.e. cursed golem is 160k*20 every two seconds, widow is 140k*50 over four seconds). | ||||

Instead of increasing the base creation rate, perhaps we could either allow engineers to assist in generation of wasps or allow for an 'adjuster' that would allow us to invest resources into wasp creation. |

Yeah, that would be acceptible to me. The latter would probably be best--maybe through the context menu--as I see engineer assist problematic in some assist-focus situations. Of course, the wasp cost has to go down from its current 50k/50k. |

hmm I actually like hive golems the way they are now. I use them as a last resort kind of thing, or for homeworld attacks. It's true that it takes a lot of time for the wasps to build up to 500, but they can really make the difference on a homeworld where my cursed, armored and black widow will fail. |

I've very rarely had that happen; all you do is keep going back and forth between the wormholes (especially with the widow) until most of the mobile ships are attritioned by your golems. |
