Description | With turret caps at 19 (at least in normal cap), it seems they will not have near the utility of the older turrets. Since the reload speed of the basic turret is 10 seconds, and the cap is 19, thats not very many wormholes they could cover (compared to the old cap of 198, which could handle many wormholes well into a game). Even though they are powerful, a single shot per ten seconds I feel has very little defensive value for the "staple" turret. | ||||

I fixed a bug in your bug report title ;) On topic, I think a decrease in the reload time or an addition of secondary shots (possibly machine-gun-style) could be in order. But I defer to Chris, as I know that both the reload times and unit caps are the way they are for performance reasons. In general the basic turrets aren't intended to be very powerful. |

I think I overdid it on the cap reduction, mainly. With the guardians coming tonight, players will need all the defenses they can muster, and this current method spreads them too thin. Expect the ship cap to grow about... maybe 3x or so. |

Situation gets worse when you go to low ship caps mode. Then you have only 9 turrets which means that you really can't cover to much even if turrets are more powerful. |
