Description | I didn't mind having crouching be a spell pre-powercoding, but coming back now it seems unfair. A lot of the game has become about getting through big waves of bullets without getting hit instead of healing as you go, and it seems weird that your character can't crouch behind a corner without casting a spell to turn him into a midget. If I remember rightly crouching has been a pretty standard ability in sideview 2D games going back to the NES. Given the current implementation via the shrink spell, I can see why it's limited as it is --- otherwise you might wind up using it all the time to keep your hitbox small --- but how about reassigning the down key to give you a simple crouch where you can't move (or perhaps can crawl slowly) and keeping shrink as a special spell that gives you a temporary defensive edge? | ||||

For now: * The mana cost of the miniature spell has been dramatically reduced. ** The cost to learn the miniature spell has been changed to now be just two purple dispersia rather than also including two moonstone. Making it not incur EP to gain it. |
