| Description | Games to be familiar with: missile command(remember the flashing scores and overuse of color) Mortal Kombat (remember the voiceovers, excellent, fatality,…) Galaga(scores around spaceships) tidalis (score multipliers for successive matches, also makes extensive use of audio and visual feedback to reward the player) 60s Batman(biff, pow,Bam) Sometimes during fights, I think it would be fun to have a arcade mode, where retro style scores appear around the screen as the battle is going on. Whether it is the actual score being boosted, or the damage being done, or even taking out extremely difficult enemies such as the avenger or hunters, it would be retro, brightly colored, blocky fonts declaring huge scores or even words that say "excellent!" AI could even chiming from time to time with an evil laugh or a Darth Vader "nooooooooooooooo!" The battle scenes are some of the best parts of this game, and this game mode would make it a little bit more flashy, retro feedback as to how awesome you are. Gives you extra encouragement during a fight or even visual/audio feedback when it's going bad (AI could taunt). Lots of games these days use audio and visual feedback to stimulate the player during successful plays. I call it arcade mode. The visual/audio would be so simple that I don't see any latency implications. | ||||

I don't suppose the fonts would be more cheesier than the "YOU LOST" one, eh? Don't forget some ambient crazy neon lights, increased contrast ratio, and kaleidoscope effects every time you view another planet. |

Come on spikey, click the community support! And yes, that crazy font at the end is pretty close to what I'm talking about, although made to fit on the screen. |
