In a single player only game, yes -- of course. In a multiplayer game, that would be hugely annoying to friends you are adventuring with. Given that this game is both, we figure many people will play both ways, and having it work differently between solo and multiplayer would be inherently confusing and difficult to remember for those folks. By the by, in general there's no need to ever open the menu during adventure play unless you want to exit the game, need to make major settings adjustments (not a frequent thing, I'm sure), or need to kill your character. There are hotkeys for the map that make them really quick to toggle. Comma and period for region and dungeon, and m for the minimap. Same with hotkeys for all the inventories. I agree that it is probably unneeded, but I did want to mention the Warcraft 3 menu pauses in single player and not in multiplayer and that always felt just fine. |

Yes it helps, thank you. Maybe the (still small) problem is, the enemies keep on fighting while I can't react. |
