Summary | 0005072: Global cooldown not affected by casting speed
Description | I'm not sure if this is by design, but currently it doesn't seem as if the global cooldown is affected by casting speed when casting spells. For instance, at casting speed 8 I can chain two spells with a cooldown of 1.5s one after the other, without pause. Even if I try to add a third spell, that third spell is never cast. With a casting speed of 3, all three spells are cast one after eachother. This makes casting speed a much less important attribute; with a good mix of spells, you'll reach the same damage output regardless of casting speed (although variations will, of course, exist), since you'll always cast two spells per second.

Yep, this is by design. The global cooldown is more or less the floor to prevent network flood and other general spam. |
