Summary | 0005029: Spell - Raise & Smackdown | ||||
Description | Not sure if these would be gems or scrolls... An idea to have some kind of throwable (and aimable) spark that when it lands on the ground a sort of totem of light (see-through) shoots upwards to the top of the map. Raise ----- * A blue see-through light shines up towards the top of the node (or when it hits a wall) * Any enemy, npc or player that walks into the light will start rising very quickly * However, any npc or player character that walks into the light will have some of their mana drained. (this could be continually or one time) * After a short period of time, it fades away * Possibly receive damage if your character hits a roof while in the light. * More powerful than "ride the lightning" or placing platforms but a lot more unpredictable and harder to use without hurting yourself badly. (especially in caves) Smackdown --------- * A red see-through light shines up towards the top of the node (or when it hits a wall) * Any enemy, npc or player that walks into the light will fall towards the ground at a very fast pace and receive some damage on impact. * After a short period of time, it fades away. * If you walk into this light at ground level, you will be unable to jump. As soon as an enemy, npc or player walks out of the light. Normal gravity rules are back in play. Added a quick paint picture to give the idea. The player character jumping to aim the "spark" at the ground. (and then they take effect when the spark hits the ground) Hope it's not a "broken" idea, but it seems like fun. Depending on how it interacts with projectiles and 'attack monsters' like the faerie and dragon fire, could be quite brutal. Either place it as a wall to smackdown their attacks and shoot past at the source, or place it to deflect and group them and take the whole bunch out with one meteor... fun fun |
