Description | As I say. Currently, teleport seems to move you in the direction of the cursor, or if you're tab targeting toward your target. Maybe I misunderstand how teleport is meant to be used, but I assumed it's a running-away spell --- so having it move you into a boss's lap is less than ideal. In general, I think you're most likely to use it while running away and firing at something behind you, so it seems like it's more useful if it takes you in the direction you're moving than the direction you're shooting. | ||||

I'd really think of storm dash as already doing what you're talking about -- the teleport spell is more about being able to move to specific locations that you're targeting. I'm not sure that I'd want to really change teleport, honestly, because there's already something that does what you're asking for. I think it's better to have the variety rather than driving things too close to one another. |

So when do you use it? Since it can't go through walls, I'd assumed it was for escaping when you're boxed in by something dangerous like purple miasma or dragon breath and don't want to run through it. Not arguing, just not too clear on what to do with it. |

Well, if you're using mouse controls, it's really handy because you can point to a precise location and just go right there. When it comes to going through walls, I've actually been thinking of letting it do that and making it use a lot more MP. In terms of quickly running away, that's really more the Storm Dash, I'd say. Unless you're using the mouse, which can quickly launch teleport just as easily. |

Fair, I suppose I can't really expect quite everything to work if I insist on playing with the trackpad. |

Well, there's some stuff that would definitely be mouse-only in terms of being able to quickly use them, that said we try to always put in alternatives that work no matter what you use. If we didn't have storm dash, that would be a problem. |

Sort of related to this topic: * Teleport now can be cast once every 1 second instead of once every 4 seconds. ** Teleport is now limited by region level it can be used in -- like shrink, miniature, and so forth. * Teleport is now called Lesser Teleport, and there is a new Greater Teleport option. ** Greater teleport transmits you directly to the cursor location, even allowing your to pass through walls or other solid objects. ** Greater teleport costs a whopping 600 MP, but it provides yet another way of going about exploring mazes, for instance. * Starting at level 40, players can now start finding umbra embers (a rare commodity). These are required in order to craft greater teleport. |

Just noticed this task, didn't realize this was a bug - currently teleport lets me go through walls just fine. It's quite useful to take shortcuts in more complex rooms. Guess it doesn't really matter now if it is changing, but if 'lesser teleport' will work like teleport does now, seems like I'd be able to go through walls just fine with it too... |

It is no longer letting me go through walls. Going to have to go get that greater teleport then. Pity about the huge mana cost! |
