| Description | Stash rooms are a great idea, and I think could be expanded to give more rewards for exploration. As it is, once you have raided a few and collected a good stash of potions, there is very little incentive to explore buildings. This could be fixed with a variety of caches of items, each with its own unique benefit. Different people would stash things for different reasons if the end of the world is coming. Artists and musicians would create cultural stashes, containing the great works of art from their age. These could add to a settlement's happiness, for example. Technological stashes might have something that could improve the yield of a farm, quarry, or other building. Personal stashes might not have any benefits to your settlement, but contain links to the world before: a diary of someone's last days before the cataclysm, for example. I'm not sure how easy these would be to implement. Perhaps a straight XP bonus to your civilization for bringing these artifacts back to your settlement would be cleanest. | ||||
