Er encountered some hives right next to a module building node thing, turns out, they are impossible to kill, as as soon as their forcefield goes down, another one appears. Sure, not really that bad (the nodes die quickly)... but annoying until i realized it.

This is intended, the counter is to have at least 100 of your ships on the planet; as long as that is true all the hybrid facilities (at least equipment and construction module factories) don't function.

Note to self: make this clearer in-game.


On second thought, though, note to self: make the hybrid-equipment-module generation not work if the hybrid was damaged in the last X seconds (probably 10, to start with).

It does certainly seem like a bug when the forcefield insta-regens; this will make them much easier to kill in this case, though their drone spawners will continue to work in this scenario (unless you have >= 100 ships there) until the hybrids are killed, so it's still in your best interest to not go around raiding these planets with tiny forces.

Ok -- I seem to recall this was causing some player frustration, so definitely seems like one to hit before the next official.

For 4.053:

* Hybrids now cannot rebuild modules if they have been angered (fired upon by human player ships) within the last 30 seconds.
