| Description | My idea is to have a permanent tooltip like hovering over settlement tiles (it would always be there so you don't need to mouseover) with the name of the settlement. (or you could always make it so you need to mouseover for it to appear but this might be less effective on the fly) Since I only have two settlements at the moment I'm not too worried but I think I might start confusing wind shelters for settlements (just by looking at the icon on the main map the two aren't really that different) when I have more wind shelters/settlements spread about. (like 20+) | ||||

I added an example of what I mean, obviously you guys would do better than my quick paint job. :p Mahbakk is the name of that settlement in my game. For names that are longer than that....there could always be the option for the name bar to fade out somewhat if it's going to be in the way. However when you're coming up to it from a distance you'll be able to see it before moving closer. (I suppose it's not really a tooltip if you're not mousing over it. I guess I made things a bit unclear in that regard. It's more like a permanent name signpost.) |
