Description | I'm unsure as to which one of these it is, but I am unable to detect a single Hybrid or Hybrid structure in the whole galaxy (full vision enabled). I've looked "manually" at all high level planets and also tried to use the filters. Either way, no Hybrids in my current game. Save attached. | ||||

Might also say that his is roughly 1 hour into the game, so both structures and hybrids should be visible. EDIT: Confirmed. Hybrid structures are NOT seeded in this version. Started a new game and no hybrid facilities anywhere in the universe on game start. |

Yea, sounds like it's caused by the same thing as all those other lobby settings that don't work. |

I loaded your save and looked using (ctrl+alt+s) the AI plots are allowed for both AI but no expansions (ZR CoN) are active. I wonder if you need CoN for Hybrid AI plots to work, If so then those plots should be unavailable in the lobby if CoN is not active. BTW the Hybrids are stacking up in my current game like zombies outside a safe house. |

Odd, I have the expansions set to active in the lobby. I'll look this up ASAP. |

Yeah, I had to deselect and reselect the expansions in the lobby and create a new game for the hybrids to show up. But now they did spawn. So...false alarm I guess? |

No not a false alarm. The dang lobby toggles are not reliably transfering to the host game creation. You also uncovered a dependancy: CoN must be active before AI plots for Hybrids works. Making sure the Hybrid AI plots are unselectable if CoN is not active is important. And as a selling point if a player hovers over the Hybrid AI plots but doesn't own CoN then the tooltip should indicate what is needed to use them. |

All of this was just some temporary bugs, I think. Is it working for you now in 3.705? It should be, but please let us know if not. Thanks! |

Update to above post: You also uncovered a dependancy: CoN must be active before AI plots for Hybrids works. [edit: this seems to work, I turned off the CoN expansion and turned on the adv Hybrid and Hybrid AI plots as well as the CoN minor factions and started a game. On the stats page the adv Hybrid and Hybrid plots showed as active but I saw no hybids anywhere using full reveal. Additionaly the CoN minor factions were not active. Making sure the Hybrid AI plots are unselectable if CoN is not active is important. [edit: this does not work] |

I can confirm that this is still happening in 3.711. I just started a game and double checked that I had the expansions ticked. After starting the game, the expansions were disabled in game. You actually have to untick and then retick them for it to work properly. |

Hmm, that's weird, I'm not able to reproduce it. Here's my exact steps: 1) Start program. 2) Click on Host Game. 3) Click on Start Game (both expansions are already checked, and normal Hybrids are already enabled on both AIs). 4) Click on Stats, go to Galaxy Stats screen and it shows both expansions as on. When I check the AI homeworlds I also see the hybrid facilities. What exactly are you doing? |

I can confirm that there are SOME issues with the lobby stuff not syncing visually properly. I'm working on that right now, so hopefully that will help. |

712 norm speed norm ship cap both exp enabled AI2 hybrids changed to full visability and started game. Stats window says Hybrids enabled but at 50 min no hybrids seen. Hybrid spawn nodes seen at AI2 homeworld. Auto save attached |

So far no good go. It seems to be completely random. Sometimes settings will stick, sometimes not. I've never even touched the Astro Train button since I initially turned them off, and even so, I have astro trains sometimes and sometimes not when I start new games. I can't make any sense out of this at all -.- |

* Some error prevention code has been put in place for the generating of maps in the lobby; this may have been causing some issues with players not seeing or getting what they expect in multiplayer sometimes. ** Thanks to Draco18s for reporting. * Fixed a bug with the lobby that could cause it to have its visual state differing from the actual underlying selected options on the second run of the lobby on a game start. ** This also led to things such as AI Modifiers that were visually "already selected" not taking effect for real until they were clicked again. Fixed. ** This fix also causes the lobby to remember its existing state when players click out of it and back in. |
