causing dysons to fire on guardposts would make things too easy I think. A few dysons could neuter a whole planet without even needing fleet support. Though I find it odd that they do shoot on special forces guardposts. either have them attack all guardposts or none at all |

@zoutzakje Agreed, letting dyson gattlings kill guard posts would make them OP Special forces guardposts are an odd case in that destroying them does not free any ships, as any ships that would try to guard them are immediately put onto special forces duty instead. For any other guard posts, they can have defenders that can be freed on their destruction, which is another big reason why dysons shouldn't be able to kill them. Now of course, the death of a special forces guard post gives 1 AIP. Whether you think the reduction of the overall spawn rate of special forces ships is worth that is up for debate. (I do, but others very well might not) |

if you play against special forces captain (or whatever the name of that AI type was), you'll get a lot of AI progress in due time because of the dysons. they'll even destroy special forces guardposts on planets you don't want to take or won't even come close to. I rather decide for myself if I want to take out special forces guardposts or not |
