Description | Got some balance info for Reapers. Tried a few times to play the Dyson sidekick/empire with 3 total people. and some more on solo. The Reapers were.... a nightmare. I think they can be balanced without changing too much, but my main suggestions are below. Testing was done on Reaper intensity 1 - 2 AI intensity 5 - 6 -Prevent Reapers from warping in anywhere along a transport line when mining for resources. Maybe have a stronger force at the drill? (Also drills still work normally even when destroyed) Having to guard a multi planet transport route, which highly risks economy planets and structures getting destroyed feels really bad. Especially for non-dyson players. I would often feel more like a burden to the others for trying to expand and build up. -Have the random assaults only appear a few hops from bordering AI worlds within player territory. The random assaults that happen are ok and good for practically free resources, but having them hit the back line is annoying. (the assault timer did not appear for other players. Only the dyson player) -Lunar invasions should not spawn too far from the players. Or possibly set a hard cap on the number of Gateways they can have. Lunar invasions get so out of control that they are unstoppable if left to their own devices. Lunar invasions became repeatedly a problem because they would spawn so far away that they couldn't be stopped in time. | ||||

I just finished a game with Reapers at 5 (players were Dyson + Necromancer) and the reapers seemed pretty manageable. Did you build some additional spheres so your transports don't have to travel as far? If anything I find Lunar invasions a bit underpowered at the moment; they never really got a foothold in my most recent game and I was considering buffing them. If you upload a save I will take a look if I have time and see if there's anything unexpected going on |

"Solo Dyson" is at 1h40 "Pre Activation" was just before I activated sphere 7 at almost 2h53 I'm entirely open to this as me being bad at the game lol. solo dyson.savemet (468 bytes)

Oh, your bug report was about the Sphere Level 7 win condition? |

That was extremely difficult as well, but it was about the gateways and just how strong the Reapers got between those 2 saves. They were sending a constant stream of 1-2k at me. The other day I played another game with 1 other person and we were able to keep the Reapers in check this time around, with myself focusing on stomping them out the moment they appear. Though the Sphere 7 condition still stomped us lol. |
