Summary0029841: Counter-Hacking is annoying because it's unclear
DescriptionWhen you have an infiltrator and need to have a hacker "cover" them from enemy hackers to complete the infiltration, not enough information is presented to the player to make good decisions without "just knowing" certain numbers from past attempts or save-scumming.

During the hacking game, some of the nodes help, some don't seem to, all cost strategic resources to hack. It's not really clear what the results of hacking a given node will apply, and you have to pick only one per hacking attempt. Most of them apply a debuff that effectively shuts that hacker down for as long as the debuff lasts, but here's the problem: There's no indication how long the debuff lasts anywhere I can see, and they get to do a search action the same turn as it wears off. Since the game has been spawning 2 hackers who can immediately locate my infiltrator, if the debuff drops for a single turn the whole investigation has to be started over. They have the debuff, I end turn, the debuff wears off and they kill my infiltrator, nothing I can do. I have to I know and am myself counting down turns until the debuff wears off, or I just save each turn to roll back to the turn where I need to re-apply the hack.

Hacking their organs and killing them seems to be the worst option, too -- it spawns replacements the very next turn who are as strong or stronger. Plus, hacking organs costs 5 strategic resources instead of 3, like blinding or emotionally overloading them.
Disconnecting them from the network is as expensive as killing them, but they don't get immediately replaced. However, you can't re-hack them because they're disconnected from the network. You have to let them take a turn. I want to try disconnecting them and then killing them with a normal attack.

It seems like the best way to handle it is just to emotionally overload them every 0000003:0000003 turns.
