Summary0000294: Replace Missions list
DescriptionHave a new "targets" button to show potential targets for capture/conquest? Only show stuff found via scouting, except for the fact that there are 2 AI homeworlds. And then show what planets each found thing (like ARS, etc) is on with the player able to click to them.

I think this will be important for the influx of new players.

So this would replace the current "Objectives" list, which magically shows, with deadly accuracy, the amount of goodies that are in space?

If so, I'm all for hiding them until they are actually found and adding more goodies to that list.


This, incidentally, gave me an idea for another issue. *runs off to write a report*

The current objectives list does give a lot of critical unearned intel. Suggest the new tab/list have an option to hide/reveal undiscovered goodies with a toggle like the hide planets toggle in the game lobby. More choice for the player.

I haven't checked to see if it made it into 3.703, but have you seen the Objectives tab on the Stats screen? That's what we're going with now, and it only shows data you've actually scouted.

There are a few bugs (that I've fixed internally) that may be showing more or less than it should, though.

Ok, just checked in the rest of what I'm going to do for now. There are more things I want to do here, but it already does everything the old mission display did (except make the intel free) and a bit more :)
