Summary0029215: Successfully softlocked the player in the prologue by stranding an android outside of attack range
DescriptionThe player can become softlocked in the Prologue in the 'attack an investigator' step if they manage to get into a situation where they still have mental energy and all remaining androids are out of range to attack any targets

This is successfully performed in the series of saves attached.

'Rolling the investigators.save' shows the initial conditions of the save (immediately after leaving the starter event), with a military event
'Investigator Rolled.save' is after processing the crime scene event, repeated until the game spawned only a single investigator in a location where it would be likely to be out of range
'Killing off the units.save' is after using the Tech 4000 to recruit two additional androids, in particular a CombatUnit on the edge of the map which is unable to

From this save, the following steps are taken:
1. Unit 4-WL activates Slayer and kills the Rebel Observer. This removes the last attackable unit within range of Unit M330 (the rebels spawn near the investigator, safely out of range)
2. Unit 4-WL expends its remaining 2AP firing on any non-investigator target (the rebels will do)
2. Tech Two attacks the BL-1 Machinist mech in the military base
3. Tech Two recharges (reducing the player to 1ME). It can also take cover to burn off a Mental Energy.
4. Tech Two attempts to melee the Investigator. This gets it killed by the POI guards, leaving only Tech 4000 (with 0 AP) and Unit M330 (out of range)

This results in a situation analogous to 'Softlock Success.save', in which the player is unable to end the turn due to having both ME and AP but being unable to attack an Investigator or any other targets

* Androids can now sprint into a dialog, or into a melee attack.
** This saves some annoying fiddling that otherwise could be required if dialog targets were all out of range, and it also solves the one soft-lock that was possible on turn 1 of the prologue if players really really worked at it on purpose.
