Summary0028994: Skimmer placement visibility issues.
DescriptionThis has been around for a few builds and I swear someone else reported it but I can't find it, so here:
There are two visibility issues when placing skimmers on NPC mines.

First, a lot of the mines are almost invisible on city map view because the green highlight is rendered below the grey slabs showing the city blocks for some reason. There are four sites in the attached screenshot but only a sliver of two can be seen through the gap in the tiles. This doesn't apply to all of the sites, some show up okay, but it's a lot of them.

Secondly, they're still quite hard to see even in the non-map view. The highlight just isn't that pronounced. It's fine if you know they're there, but... see the first problem.

I only found the mines because I was looking at NPC mines on the map (the yellow horizontal triangles). Should probably be communicated better

Yeah, looking at the NPC mines is what I used to track some down, but even with better communication of that tool, not all NPC mines actually have the building skimmers need, as far as I could see.

Looking at the notes for issue 0028797, it looks like this is fixed in 0.570.

Thanks!

* The mining sites now draw taller when you are looking for them, which is very useful because they were still quite hard to see. It's now far more easy to put skimmers in them.
