Summary0002870: Balance: Golem Regenerator too weak?
DescriptionSo I've been playing a LOTS quest map of 80 planets and I got a Regenerator Golem and I have to say, compared to the other golems, this thing is fairly weak and a major resource drain. It only takes about 30 seconds to drain its health to keep replacing my fleet. Although I wonder if its got something to do with my blades, but compared to the rest of the Golem lineup, this one has way too little health to be useful and alive for long.

Compared to Spire ship the Golems lose their usefulnes. I would go as far as saying "remove their attrition" in order to get them in line with Spire ship.
(At the moment I find myself enabling "Golems - Hard" only for the attack-waves, but hardly ever use a Golem, eventhough I capture them all.)

Really? Some of the golems are absolute monsters. Spirecraft have nothing on a Cursed or Botnet golem and a Hive golem is a nice drop-and-run weapon that can wipe out entire systems.

You are correct, there are some exceptions, but artillery golems, regenation golems, and in some cases even botnet golems are in my game completelly obselete.
Botnet golems are fun when you get cought with your pants down, I tend not to get caught like that :)
On a previous game an armored golem got utterly wasted by what was hanging around the gate, and this wasnt even such a big build-up.

Fact that you need to micro their basic usefulnes(enable power .. and attrition), means I often end up realising I have them after the point I could have used them.

I would say in terms of "removing attrition" that only the regenerator golem should. Considering its attack is basically self-attrition. As for the rest, I don't have any experience with the weak golems like botnet or artillery (never even ran into an artillery yet, what are the odds o_O)

I'd like to see it buffed to armor golem health levels. It just is almost useless compared to any other golem.

I'd like to see the Regenerator Golems only replace important stuff like Starships and MKIV ships. To replace useless cannon fodder late game like MKI stuff is jokes. I'd like to see the Golem be given a decent attack and be relied upon to only replace something important. This could give it a unique role in high level squad-based raids.
