Summary | 0028693: Gameplay - Destroying human buildings with explosive machine buildings doesn't cause a response | ||||
Description | Description: Player can unlock a demolish ability that allows them to demolish very specific buildings with pretty harsh but unclear restrictions. Additionally when using the ability player has to face a severe human response per each destroyed building. However if player destroys an explosive building that then destroys several human buildings no human response is triggered. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Unlock explosive buildings 2. Place one close to any human buildings 3. Delete the building after it's fully built 4. Observe that no response has been called Suggestions: - Contextually this is an issue because AI destroys human buildings and humans are reacting to it inconsistently. However gameplay wise I've found myself enjoying the game more when being able to freely demolish human buildings surrounding my tower. Adding a narrative event that would remove or significantly lower the human response might be a good addition. - A distinction should be in place of who destroyed the building so a retaliation response team isn't called when it was humans who destroy the explosive building | ||||

Perhaps demolishing your own buildings shouldn't result in an explosion in the first place? I think the sensible default behaviour would involve moving anything valuable/useful stored in a building out of there prior to knocking it down, particularly if it's stuff that goes boom. |
